The Fortunate Isles

Regarding the weather of the fortunate isles- Beyond Spain also known as the islands of eternal spring – the Atlantic location is crucial: both the presence of the trade winds and by the warm North Canary Current.

Its main characteristic is its mild temperatures (average temperature 20.8º C) and little variation throughout the year, with low precipitation (105.2 mm. Annual average), consistent with a dominant wind direction of NE and strong degree of insolation (70% of the total possible sunlight hours per year).

Both factors have a softening action on the weather enjoying springtime temperatures all year round.
